Ceramic Coating in Green Hills
Green Hills is a straight run up Hillsboro Pike from our base — about twenty minutes. We often pair morning Green Hills visits with afternoon Belle Meade work next door.
From $699
Green Hills runs on a tight schedule, and its cars show it. The Hillsboro Pike crawl past the mall coats a bumper in traffic film faster than almost anywhere in the county, and the compact driveways off Woodmont and Abbott Martin leave no appetite for a two-day shop visit. We set up in the space you have — a short driveway is enough — and finish while you get on with the day.
A ceramic coating is a liquid glass layer that bonds to your clear coat and hardens into a sacrificial shell. Water beads and runs off instead of sitting; bug splatter, bird droppings, and brake dust land on the coating rather than the paint. Washing gets faster, and the gloss stays deep for years rather than the six to eight weeks a wax survives.
The mix here is luxury daily drivers: G-Wagons on the school run, sedans that live outside because the garage is full, leases heading back with more swirls than the inspector will forgive. A one-step polish before turn-in, or a full detail with leather care, protects the number on that final statement.
Work we have done here
Recent Green Hills work includes a black Mercedes G550 hand-finished outside a local storefront, a G-Wagon deep in snow foam, and a Nardo Gray Audi RS3 detailed on site.
What Happens In Your Driveway
- 01
Wash and decontaminate
Foam pre-wash, hand wash, then iron remover to dissolve embedded brake dust, and a clay bar to pull out what chemicals cannot.
- 02
Correct the paint
Level 2 gets a one-step machine enhancement. Level 3 gets a multi-step correction. Level 1 skips this — the finish is already sound.
- 03
Prep the surface
A panel wipe strips every trace of polishing oil. Any residue left here stops the coating bonding, so this step is never rushed.
- 04
Apply and level the coating
The coating goes on panel by panel and is leveled by hand at the right moment. Glass, wheels, and exterior plastics get coated too.
- 05
Cure
The coating hardens over the following hours. We tell you exactly when the car can get wet and how to wash it from then on.

Green Hills Questions
My Green Hills driveway is small. Is that a problem?+
No. We need roughly one open car-width beside the vehicle. If the driveway truly cannot fit both, we can often work at your office instead.
Can you clean my lease before I turn it in?+
Yes. A full detail — or a one-step polish for swirled paint — is far cheaper than the reconditioning line on a lease-end invoice.
How long does a ceramic coating last?+
It depends on the level. Level 1 protects for about a year, Level 2 for three years, and Level 3 for five to seven. Regular washing and no automatic-brush car washes are what carry a coating to the end of its rating.
Is a ceramic coating better than wax?+
For durability, yes — by years rather than weeks. Wax sits on the paint and washes away; a coating chemically bonds and resists heat, detergent, and UV. See our full ceramic coating vs wax comparison.
Does a coating prevent scratches and rock chips?+
No, and be careful of anyone who says otherwise. A coating resists light swirls from washing and stops chemical etching from bird droppings and bug guts. It will not stop a rock. Paint protection film is the product for impact.
